Working from project concepts and plans, Karina produces the detailed construction documents that help make an idea reality. She also oversees Arcwerk’s information technology and manages the firm’s social media presence.
Since joining Arcwerks August 2022, Karina has embraced the collaborative team dynamic, finding inspiration in the opportunity to gain real-world architectural experience.
Her journey into the profession of architecture was influenced by her family's background in carpentry and textiles, coupled with a childhood fascination with world-building games, where she delighted in designing and reimagining virtual spaces.
Karina completed her prerequisite studies in design, theory, and architectural history at Broward College and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in architecture at Florida Atlantic University. Passionate about her field, Karina is enrolled in NCARB, diligently working toward her certification as a licensed architect, and is also an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Driven by more than just the aesthetics of architecture, Karina understands it involves much more than “drawing a pretty house.” Her eye for detail and creativity are further fueled by inspiration drawn from real-world examples that inform and enhance her designs. Outside of architecture, Karina enjoys reading and creating stories of her own, engaging in world-building games, and solving puzzles.
